What we build

A complete range of residential and commercial construction services.

Six disciplines

  • ADU Building
Wide French doors opening from a covered patio into a remodeled living and dining room.

Cozy cottage ADUs, prefab units and fully custom designs — planned around local zoning, permitted properly and managed from first consultation to final touches.

  • Kitchen Remodeling
White kitchen with a chevron tile backsplash, professional range and stainless hood.

A high-quality kitchen project makes a home more attractive and more functional — and can increase its value significantly enough to pay for itself. Ours start with planning, not demolition.

  • Bathroom Renovation
Renovated bathroom with a glass shower enclosure, mosaic tile band and a teak stool.

Whether you’re refreshing the primary bathroom, adding a powder room or rehabilitating a guest bath, a well-planned project can increase floor space, correct design issues and improve ventilation, insulation and light.

  • Flooring Installation
Close-up of wood-look porcelain plank tile laid with tight, even joints.

High-quality flooring changes the appearance, function and value of a home. Our installers design and fit the right floor to complement the rest of the remodel — from carpet to tile.

  • Interior Renovation
Living room with a stone-clad linear fireplace, floating shelves and wide-plank flooring.

From modest projects to whole-house redesigns. We start with meticulous planning and material selection, then bring the experience required to carry a complex interior remodel through to completion.

  • Exterior Renovation
Home exterior with new siding, a cedar-clad entry surround and a rebuilt front walkway.

A beautiful home begins with a beautiful exterior that harmonizes with the interior. From siding to windows, new build or remodel, we specialize in all exterior work.

How we work

We Plan. We Execute. You Celebrate.

Three stages

  1. Two people reviewing construction blueprints on a table with a tape measure alongside.

    Plan

Every project begins with a Pre-Construction Service Agreement. Design or interior-design collaboration, plans and elevations, engineering, scope of work, specifications, selections, allowances, value engineering, a production schedule — and a fixed-price proposal. We’re demo-ready when the PSA is done.

  2. Two NW Finishing carpenters setting a professional range into a walnut kitchen during installation.

    Execute

Construction runs on a defined scope and constant communication. Daily logs, instant messaging, the project schedule, change orders and accounting all live in one place, so you always know where the job stands.

  3. Finished kitchen with brass pendants, open shelving and a dining table set beside the island.

    Celebrate

The work ends where it should — with a home that is as functional and practical as it is beautiful, handed back ready for the moments your family will remember it by.

On change orders

Contracts are meant to be the final word, but sometimes things need to change. If new needs surface after demolition begins, we issue a written change order — which is exactly why thorough pre-construction matters. Read the FAQ

Leadership

“A family’s most precious moments take place at home.”

Ivan Turchik founded NW Finishing and General Construction in 2006. With five children and a beautiful wife, he knows the value of family — and that a family’s most cherished memories happen at home. Let NW Finishing create a beautiful place for those moments to happen.

His passion for construction began at a very young age, and more than twenty years on, the pursuit of excellence, quality craftsmanship and a high level of customer service is still the heart of the company.

Our satisfied clients

In their words.

Ivan and his team stepped in when another contractor left us high and dry in the middle of a disastrous remodel. He completely saved the day. We are super happy with our new bathrooms, floors and master closet. Ivan gave us a fair price, did great work, solved some problems that inevitably come up in old houses, communicated every step of the way, and got done on time. We are delighted to recommend him to anyone considering a building or remodeling project.
